William Ford Obituary

FORD SR., William Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 25, 2005, William Hutson Ford, Sr., husband of Elizabeth Baker Ford. Residence, Sullivans Island, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William Hutson Ford, Sr. are invited to attend the funeral service of the latter in Grace Episcopal Church Monday afternoon, June 27, 2005, at three o'clock. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call at STUHR'S DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Sunday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Ford was born May 10, 1934 in Charleston, South Carolina, a son of the late Frank C. and Elizabeth Coker Ford. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Billy was C.E.O. of Ford's Redi-Mix Concrete Company and Ford Brothers Sales Company. He was a member of the Country Club of Charleston, South Carolina Society, Middleton Hunt Club, St. Cecilia Society, and the former chairman of South Carolina State Ducks Unlimited. He is survived by his wife of Sullivans Island, SC; two sons, William Hutson Ford, Jr. and wife, Jill Chandler Ford, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and John Drayton Ford, III of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Drayton McCall Ford, William Hutson Ford, III, and Coker Chandler Ford; and one brother, Thomas P. Ford of Mt. Pleasant, SC. He was predeceased by a brother, Frank C.
