William Dodd Obituary

DODD, William ROUND O (COLLETON COUNTY) - William "Will" Hoyt Dodd, son of the late Sheila Faye Morris Dodd and John Hood Dodd II, died Tuesday, May 1, in Round O. Will was born in Walterboro, April 1, 1994. He was a 6th grade student at Colleton Middle School and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Round O. Will was a wonderful and caring child that was cherished by family. He possessed a love of the outdoors, and enjoyed playing video games, riding his four wheeler, and hunting. He is survived by his paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. William K. Dodd of Charleston, and by his maternal grandparents, Juanita Ritter, and husband Roger, of Walterboro, and Hoyt Morris, also of Walterboro. He has one sister, Joanna Shaffer, of Connecticut, as well as a host of aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in the Fox Cemetery near Cottageville. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, 81 Gadsden St., Charleston, SC 29401 or to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.
