William "Billy" Ronald Detyens VANCE, SC - William "Billy" Ronald Detyens, 82, of Vance, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 31, 2023. His Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel. Billy was born March 29, 1940 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William James Detyens and the late Florence Mood Detyens. Those who loved him will remember the way he enjoyed boating, fishing, and living in the lowcountry. He is survived by three sons, William "Billy" Detyens, Jr. of Mount Pleasant, SC, George Avinger Detyens of Sullivans Island, SC, Tony Detyens of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, Katrina Watson (James), Catherine Phillips (Remington), George Detyens, Jr., William R. Detyens, III, Rutledge A. Detyens, Jr., Amanda Detyens, Elliott Marvin; three great-granddaughters, Marie Watson, Clare Watson, Scarlett Phillips; two great-grandsons, James Watson, Jr., Johnson Phillips; sister, Margaret Lamb of Georgetown, SC; and brother, William James Detyens, II of Cainhoy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly W. Detyens, father, William James Detyens, mother, Florence Detyens, and daughter, Tracy Marvin.
