William Deckard Obituary

William "Billy" Blake Deckard Summerville - William "Billy" Blake Deckard, 72, beloved life-partner and friend, father, and brother, died peacefully on August 11, 2017, with Henri Nell Smith, her daughters and grandchildren by his side. Mr. Deckard was born in Bristol, Virginia, on November 21, 1944, and was formerly from Newport News, VA. He currently resided in Summerville and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Billy was always a kind-hearted and loyal friend. He was also known as a Master Painter who was well-respected in the Hampton Roads community. Billy is survived by; three sons, Chris Deckard of Missouri, Michael Deckard and Timmy Deckard, both of Hampton Roads, VA; a sister, Sandra Cokley of Newport News, VA; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Graveside funeral services will be at Wrens Chapel United Methodist Cemetery in McClellanville on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at three o'clock. Officiating will be the Rev. Tim Soucy.
