William Cosby Obituary

Had the pleasure of knowing Bill from a property that he had owned along with 3 other gentleman and Bill for sure was the most hands on. He was instrumental in the success of the hotel at that time was the Sheraton Plaza and changed flags to keep with current times and after the passing of another owner we all gathered at the hotel outside for a formal picture who was obligated to sale due to heirs wishes. We were a Crown Plaza the elite among Holiday Inns. Bill was loved and respected by all and treated each of the staff like family. My husband Ward Was the GM and I worked bev functions we had the opportunity to travel across the US A and visit a number of major cities with Bill as our guide. He was more than an owner he was my friend. I thought of him as I was passing through Elkin and regrettably heard of his passing. He lived a full life and left places better than when he arrived . Fly high Bill. Condolences to the family he leaves behind.

Billy has helped many people in his life and Judy and I are among the many. We cannot begin to express our love and friendship for what he provided to us over the past 45 years. He was there when we needed him. He is mainly responsible for who we are today. May God bless his soul and may God continue to bless Pat, Chrysti and Bill Jr. Our prayers are with you.
