I am so happy to have been involved in a small portion of Bill's life. He and Betty and my Parents shared many wonderful moments together, as did we "youngsters". I know his passing leaves a void for my Mother and I, but the times we spent together will last forever. He had quite a life, it was fun to grab a piece of it.

Colonel “The Consummate Gentleman”
Truly an honor to have known the Colonel and grateful for many a day spent with him, Betty and Dennis on Seabrook Island. The Colonel and Betty defined southern hospitality; always gracious with unequaled warmth and charm. Those inherent traits live on, Dennis, as you carry the torch onward.

Deepest condolences. I had the pleasure of meeting The Colonel and Betty while on family vacations in Seabrook. Always a gracious host when we shared meals and took in the natural beauty of the marsh and river from his back porch. I was a novice fisherman who enjoyed going out with him. I do remember fishing with him and Dennie when we caught a large black-fin tuna, which happened to be a line-caught S.C. record fish for that year, if I remember correctly. A charming character whom I remember fondly.
