William Brailsford Obituary

William Welborn "Buck" Brailsford, III MANNING, SC - William Welborn "Buck" Brailsford III, 84, husband of June Marie McCain Brailsford, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at his home. Born April 27, 1932, in Manning, he was a son of the late William Welborn Brailsford, Jr. and the late Lenora Johnson Brailsford. He was a graduate of Furman University, a US Army veteran and a member of Jordan United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years; three sons, William Welborn "Bucky" Brailsford IV (Teena), Henry Curtis Brailsford (Samantha) and John Marion "Jody" Brailsford (Helen), all of Manning; a sister, Joan Kneece of Aiken; five grandchildren, Jean Marie Brailsford, William Welborn "Will" Brailsford V, John Patrick Brailsford, Lauren Amanda Miller (Trey) and Dakota Elizabeth "Toto" Brailsford; three great-grandchildren, Ada Kennedy Estep, Jayda Marie Breuhl and Peyton June Brailsford; eight step grandchildren, Ricky Pack, Ashley Morris, Shaun Pack, Jeffrey Pack, Kelli Pack, Raygen Aaron, Michael Ballentine and Travis Evans; and five step great-grandchildren, Landen Carroll, Phalyn Carroll, Khloe Hodge, Dominik Scott and Baker Ballentine; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Edwin "Jimmy" Brailsford. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Jordan United Methodist Church, with Dr. Dorothy Turbeville and Rev. Katherine Haselden officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and other times at the residence, 1774 Lake Shore Drive, Manning.
