William Alston Obituary

Rev. Alston, you´ve given me many examples of what humanity should be. You´ve taught me how to stand in the face of adversity. You´ve taught me how to value and love myself. You´ve taught me how to be an effective leader. But most importantly, you´ve taught me how to live an unapologetic and authentic life. Thank you for being one of the many fathers in my life. Thank you for being a light to my family. Thank you for being you. I love you.

You´ve been a wonderful supervisor, a great mentor, and a close friend, I am who I am now because of you.

My sincere condolences to the Alston family! The Honorable Reverend William Allston will never be forgotten! I remembered the first time that I met you when you became the pastor of Nichols Chapel AME Church you were very outspoken, and a no-nonsense person I admire the fact that you did things decent and in order! you have been a great part of my family's life you christened my baby daughter Cassandra who is now 35 years old and my oldest daughter Sharia you have been an Mentor to her a confidant a motivator, encourager to all of us and I will be forever grateful to God for allowing us to Grace your presence you take your rest now your work down here is done. well done Honorable Reverend William Alston!

Wow...65 years ago I met this distinguished man. His loving wife was my first grade teacher. Through the years he has been one to admire. He will be missed. To the Alston Family, you have my deepest sympathy. I love you all.

We are very sadden to hear about the loss of Rev. William H. Alston. Rev. Alston's legacy is one of greatness...not only in his devotion to his family but he also remained vigilant in his service to our Heavenly Father.
