As this day comes upon us 11 years later it´s comforting to know my dearest Aunt Vick sits at the right hand of our father in Heaven. She is missed here with us, but she has her husband Harold Sr. now with my mom and dad (her brother) Boisey. I know they are all shouting with joy to be home in your Kingdom. May God bless all my cousins, their families, and other family members and friends with comfort, peace, and understanding that God calls us home to rest after our job here is done.
God bless y´all,
Douglas

On behalf of the Smalls Family we thank you all for the prayers, cards, phone calls, thoughts, text and visiting with us and signing our love one guest book. These inserts we will hold dear to our hearts. Our family wishes to thank you all for your love, support and thoughts during our time of bereavement. We ask that you keep us in your prayers and we will continue to pray for you and yours. Our Mommy has gone onto Heaven. We had to let our dearest Wife, Mommy, Grandmother and Sister go to her home up in Heaven to her Father who loves her the best; however, we loved her with every thing we had but it wasn't enough to keep her here on earth with us. Thanks again from Husband Harold, Children: Sharon, Celeste (Clayton), Nina (Charles), Harold (Lan), LaQuane, Florence and Gwenevere; Grandchildren Simone, Jahnae, Tatiana, Seqouia, Harold Jr., DaQuane, Shania, LaQuane, Jr, Kameron and Nah'Jae. (Eldest grandchild who preceded her in death, Charles) Brother Benjamin Singleton, Sisters Sheila Meggett and Flossie "Beck" King and a host of relatives.

We will continue to hold onto one another and God's word and love. Scriptures we will hold dear to our hearts when we experience loneliness and need comfort from the Father.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
Revelation 21:4)

Tribute to Mommy,
Mommy was a strong woman, she was our idol and our hero. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and all her family. She enjoyed life every single day and she lived her life to the fullest. If Mommy could change the world for us, without a doubt she would. If she could move all stumbling blocks and sometimes she think she could. LOL:-)! But, that was our Mommy she had her perfect world, that world with all her children being okay and living life, as well as, being safe. On any occasion rather holidays or not she just beamed with all her children and grandchildren around her and she was pleased. She loved spending time with family and having a good time. Mommy was one who protected us and if either one of her children were sick or had surgery, believe you me she was on the way to wherever they were and she will be their until we were ready to take care of ourselves again. She will cook breakfast, lunch and dinner; make sure we are doing what the doctor says to do and if we didn't she will tell us "a hard head, makes for a soft behind." That was our Mommy. We love you and you will live forever be in our hearts your children and grandchildren. (Sharon, Celeste, Nina, Harold & LaQuane) We love you but God loves you best and He know what was best for you. Can't wait to see you again.

My dearest Aunt Vick, I will miss you, and I know you are there with my mom watching over your families here on earth. I send my deepest sympathy to my cousins Sharon, Celeste, Harold, Nina, & Laquan, to your dad Harold Sr., and my dad. I know you will all miss her. I will remember how she was so nice and funny with the things she would say and do when she visited my dad in Los Angeles. As we all wish for one more day, I wish I could call to hear you tell me more stories about my dad. Aunt Vick I love you and will miss you until God calls me home. The greatest aunt in the world is what Vick was to me.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
