Dear Leona and Family - I may not have personally known Grandmother Wrighten - but I feel that I do know her through her granddaughter, Leona. Her granddaughter possesses a mighty spirit, the strength, praying power and I feel the strong faith, and character of a praying Grandmother.
Rest Well, Grandmother Wrighten -- it is your time to rest now , and worry not - for our LORD has made for you a beautiful home in his mansion and your strength, memories and teachings shall continue forever through those you've taught and touched.
Rest Well, Grandmother Wrighten - you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race -- and you have kept the faith.
God bless you Leona and Wrighten family and continue to hold tight and draw on that faith, cherish those memories -- for they are the gifts of our LORD.
May the peace of the Great Comforter wipe away all tears. May your teasure chest of precious memories keep you strong -- Share them, for they are precious jewels that should never be hidden. God bless and keep you all - Our prayers are with you..Vanessa and Walter Smith (North Charleston, SC)

GOD SHALL WIPE AWAY ALL YOUR TEARS.Family means having a bond connected with love, and you MOTHER was that bond . She was a GODLY WOMAN to all who knew her or heard about her .Sweet spirit, loving, and kind. She endured her sickness, and her troubles of the world. To all of you the family members ,church family and others she set examples of a strong, loving, kind, and peaceful woman of god.May all who loved and knew her cherish her memories today and always. She would always say "I don't feel no ways tired, come to far from where I started from ,nobody told me that the road would be easy ,I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me"....She trusted the lord ,she loved the lord and she served the lord . "SERVANT OF GOD WELL DONE".....

Leona,Mr. Leon(Daddy), and Toni,
You have my deepest sympathy in your time of grief. The Lord knows best and she is at peace with her Lord now! You have done your best and there is no need to worry or shed a tear! She is in a better place now, any questions you have take it to the Lord do not second guess him. You will soon see her again remember the good times you had with her and that will bring the saddness to smiles.

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
