Wilder Langston Obituary

LANGSTON, Wilder Wilder J. Langston, 75, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired electric power controller for the Charleston Naval Shipyard and an Army veteran died Thursday evening at his residence. The funeral will be 4:00 PM, Sunday afternoon, September 30, 2007, in the Cordesville First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM this Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Avenue, Suite 101, Charleston, SC 29405-7493 or to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mr. Langston was born September 13, 1932, in Clarendon County, SC, a son of Deleon Eustace Langston and Isobel Truluck Langston. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner and the IBEW. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Beth Sellars. Surviving are, his wife, Blanche Davis Langston; a son, Chris Langston and his wife, Monica, of Greenville; two sisters, Dorothy Butler and Camille Abbott both of Moncks Corner; and two grandchildren, Carson Langston and Cameron Langston.
