Reading The College of Charleston Magazine this evening, I was saddened to read of Wilbur's passing. I'll always remember my friend chatting for hours in Wentworth dorm and college parties our freshman and sophomore years. Wilbur's smile and wit can never be forgotten. My condolences to his family. Rest easy, Wilbur J.

One of my favorite childhood memories is of playing "army" and "cowboys and Indians" with Bubba in the woods of College Acres. My sister just told me about this and while I have not seen Bubba for some time, this hurts - one of my first friends in life.

My sincerest condolences to the family.
While I have not seen Bubba in person for years, I often think of the good times we had in the 80s: Playing in the College Acres neighborhood, Spanish class at MCS Noble with Mrs. Rebecca Blackmore (the future judge), his driving me to NHHS in the morning and four wheeling in Pembroke. Those were the days I think with a tear.
I will keep him in my prayers and visit when I pay respects to my grandparents at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

Dear Dawn, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your precious brother. I have the sweetest memories of all you Taylor children at St. Andrews on the Sound in our early years. I loved your Bubba and had a special place in my heart for him as we grew up there. May God surround you and uphold all with His comfort and grace in this time of great loss. Please send my deepest sympathy to your dear Mom as well.

Wilbur will always be remembered as a consummate fraternity brother of the Kappa Alpha Order. We shared many close times and wonderful memories with our brothers and Wilbur was always front and center in them. Facebook was great for seeing small glimpses into his life and I’m truly sorry other his ended so soon and suddenly. Rest easy brother.
