Happy birthday in heaven! Wheeler

I knew Wheeler briefly when he bought the property on University Boulevard from the Orvin's. He was a kind man and he indeed loved animals. I didn't know he played piano but I bet he was good at it. I do know he loved the law and when you walked into his home one whole wall from floor to ceiling was covered with law books and beautiful bookends. The man was a bit of an eccentric, however, that's what made him unique! He will be missed.

Only today, January 26, 2022, did I learn of Wheeler´s passing. I am so sad. He was my cousin, my favorite cousin. May his memories be a blessing to all those who loved him.

I'm sad to hear of Mr. Wheeler's passing. I live across the street from him & if there is anything I can do to help (forward mail, clean house/yard, etc.) please let me know.

So sorry to hear of Wheeler's passing. He was a good friend, and we had many good times. Sorry I didn't see him a lot during our later years. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones. Will remember you "Wheels" and thanks for the memories. RIP my friend! AJ

To the family of Wheeler. Wheeler was a long time friend that I met when he was in the South Carolina House of Representatives. So we had know each other for a long number of years. I had not seen him in sometime, but always a good friend. My condolences go out to the family.

Although I have not seen Wheeler in some time, I remember him well...A fine man who loved his community and was a true friend to all those those who knew him.

So sorry to see Wheeler pass. He was a lifelong friend, as well as the rest of the Tillman family, to the Padgetts. Knew him from birth on. He was very smart and a good lawyer. RIP Wheeler!

Wheeler has been a friend since 1977. Our daughters spent many hours playing together when they were small. I am grateful for his kindness and goodness to us and so many others.

While are many who will feel great grief at his passing. Heaven is certainly rejoicing to have such a valiant son home.

Wheeler and I were classmates at Chicora High School and he was my attorney' I am deeply sadden by his passing, it was as much shock as a surprise.

I join our classmates of the Chicora High Class of 1959 in offering condolences to Wheeler's family. We were saddened to learn of his passing.

Wheeler was the first Charleston lawyer brave enough to hire a fresh graduate of the USC Law School - and I gained valuable experience with the responsibilities he allowed me. My condolences to his family.

My sincere and deepest sympathy to you, Holly and Sammy. Wheeler was a good person. I knew him since our high school days at Chicora. We remained friends for many years. Lost touch when my husband and I moved to Tennessee when the shipyard closed. For several years after our move we would run into your dad/brother during the holidays when we would return to North Charleston to be with my dad. My dad and Wheeler had many a coffee meets during his political days.

You will be missed Wheels. You were a great friend to all who crossed your path.

Lifelong friend of the family and I just found out of his passing. He lost his wife not long ago and still mourned her passing. Rest in peace my dear friend and thanks for all the memories.

So sorry! Prayers for the family. Wheeler and our best friends since grade school. He was smart and a true friend. He went to the service for his country. He turned out to be a successful lawyer. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of serving with Wheeler in the SC House of Representatives during the early to mid 1970´s. He was a good Representative for Charleston County!
