Wayne Smith Obituary

Wayne W. Smith, 70, of Lake Katrine, NY, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at home. He was born January 30, 1951 in Kingston, son of the late Walter and Matilda (Ellsworth) Smith. He was married to his loving wife of 34 years, Laurie A. (McGregor) Smith, Laurie passed away on July 26, 2020.
Wayne was a Kingston High School Graduate, Class of 1968. He worked for the Ulster County Highway Department for over 25 years and enjoyed spending time with his daughter, grandsons, his dogs, and working on vehicles, fishing, and hunting.
His is survived by his daughter, Shannon Smith, two grandsons, Aiden Rockwell and Jayden Campbell, his sister-in-law, Heather Rosenthal and her husband Matthew, and his brother-in-law, Scott McGregor and his wife Patrice.
