To the Pearson family; I worked with Wayne back in 1988 helping raise the capital to start Low country Savings Bank. Wayne was a remarkable man he never meet stranger. His keen wit and sense of humor were always present. I am so glad I got to visit with him back in December. My condolence's to the entire Pearson family. He was a great man!!

Enjoyed serving on banking committees with Wayne over the years. He always had something valuable to add and usually had us laughing at a funny story. He will be missed. The entire family is in my prayers.

Tricia...
Please accept our deepest sympathies re your loss of Wayne.
He was a very fine man, which you know, but it deserves to be repeated over and over.
We know the coming days will be difficult without him but also know your faith will somehow provide the necessary
Strength to manage.
The pain of a loved one's loss never completely goes away but the waves will likely get farther apart with time.
You and Wayne have many happy memories to treasure and friends who will be praying for your peace.

Over the past 50 years, only a small handful of Newberry College alumni gave more to our alma mater than Wayne, in terms of Time, Tokens, and Talent. Wayne loved Newberry College and he demonstrated that love through his inordinate commitment to the College, despite being an extremely busy Charleston banking executive and husband, father, and grandfather. Wayne and I came to Newberry the same year and left Newberry four years later with our degrees...but Wayne Pearson, unlike the vast majority of college graduates who rarely stay deeply committed to their colleges, really never left his alma mater. He was deeply appreciative of the foundation he received at Newberry College and he continuously gave back selflessly. A strong, rational, and devoted voice on behalf of Newberry College has been silenced, but will never be forgotten! Well done, thou good and faithful servent! Sympathies to Patricia and the entire family.
