Warren LaMond Obituary

LaMOND, Warren Warren Howard LaMond, 87, husband of Donna Jean LeDuc LaMond of Mt. Pleasant, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008. The relatives and friends of Warren LaMond are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 6, 2008, in Christ Our King Catholic Church at eleven o'clock. A memorial service and burial will be at a later date in Birmingham, Michigan. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Mr. LaMond was born November 4, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Herbert Monte LaMond and Lottie Glouser LaMond. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a retired engineer for Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation. He was a former member of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Charleston, SC and a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is survived by his wife, Donna Jean LaMond of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three children, Annette LaMond and her husband, Joseph R. Moore, III of Cambridge, MA, Carole LaMond and her husband, David Birkner of Wayland, MA and Warren LaMond, Jr. of Medford, MA; step-children, Scott Buchanan and his wife, Judy, of Melbourne, FL, Joanne Hopkins and her husband, Bryan, of Dover, Delaware, and Heather Buchanan-Smith and her husband, Kevin Smith, of Barrington, IL; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild; two sisters, Marilyn Shuff of San Clemente, California, and Gloria Andrew and her husband, Eugene, of Huntington Beach, California; one brother, Jay LaMond and his wife, Mary of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania and one sister-in-law, Jean LaMond of Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Mt. Pleasant, 1224 Village Creek Lane, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
