She grew up in South Carolina and graduated from Spartanburg High School and Converse College. She shared a lifelong passion for golf with her brother, the late PJ Boatwright, Jr. She said her greatest achievement after her children was being inducted into the SC Golf Hall of Fame before her brother. She was past president of the Women's SC Golf Association, the Women's Carolinas Golf Association, Chair Woman of the Women's South Carolina Match Play Championship and, along with Jeanne Campbell, hosted the tournament for many years. Louise and Sally,
I was saddened to hear of Walton's passing. My memories of her go back to when I first met her in Wheeling WVA for my fist VA-CA team match. She happily recruited me to then come play for the CA team after she learned I was about to move to SC. Sine then Walton has been a mentor, fellow competitor, crabbing buddy and most of all a friend. I will cherish all the fond memories of this special lady.

May your memories help you through this difficult time. Inez and I won't be able to attend the service on Saturday as she is still recovering from a broken hip, but our thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

Hugs to you both.
