Walter Zeski Obituary

Walter John Zeski SUMMERVILLE - Walter J. Zeski, 84, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2023 surrounded by family at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House. He was born July 19, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Mary Suchorzewski, and later raised also by his step-father, Victor Krol after his father's passing. Walter graduated from Leo High School, class of 1956, where he was Captain of his high school football team. Following graduation, he went to college and then served a term in the U.S. Army. After serving in the military, Walter had a career in Finance, and retired from Ford Motor Credit Company. He was an avid golfer of over 40 years, and met and made many lifelong friends on the course. Walter met the love of his life, Francine Zeski, while serving in the military, and celebrated 61 years of marriage in October. Together they settled in Summerville, SC in 1978. There they raised four children, and welcomed many grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Walt is survived by his wife, Fran; daughter, Lisa (Scott) Watkins; sons, Paul Zeski, Philip Zeski, and Jimmy (Brandie) Zeski; and their children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held 3pm-5pm Sunday, June 4th at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation, 5000 Wescott Club Drive, Summerville, SC 29485.
