W. Wright-Wilkey Obituary

WRIGHT-WILKEY, W. Wanda Faye Wright-Wilkey, 51, of Chattanooga, entered into a new life Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, in a local hospital. She was a native of Greeneville, Tenn., and a graduate of Greeneville High School. She graduated from Chattanooga State and received her bachelors degree from Covenant College. She also received her masters degree from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She was retired from the Human Resources Department at UnumProvident after more than 20 years of service and was a counselor with the Educational Opportunities Center at UTC. She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Her beloved companion, Scruffy, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wright Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Click preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Thomas H. Wilkey; father and mother, Junior and Janice Wright, of Greeneville, Tenn.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Wright Adams and her husband, Ray, of Chattanooga, Becky Wright Godwin and her husband, Bob, of Charleston, S.C., Christa Wright Gunter and her husband, Tony, of Greeneville, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Spencer, Danielle, Briana, Codi, Kirby and Alec; great-nephew, Ian. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the East Chapel with Kent and Regena Kressenberg officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition Inc., Southeastern Tennessee Division, Attention: Maureen Wagner, 8617 Millard Lee Lane, Apt.C, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
