KIRBY, W. Durwood Entered into eternal rest on September 19, 2007, William Durwood Kirby, husband of the late Dawn Gunter Kirby. Residence, North Charleston, SC. The family and friends of William Durwood Kirby are invited to attend his graveside service on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at one o'clock at Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call this Friday between five and eight o'clock at the home of Gertrude Kirby and John & Annette Smits-Reeve (5061 Victory Avenue, North Charleston, SC). Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL Mr. Kirby was born on June 17, 1955 in Charleston, SC the son of the late William Henderson Kirby and Gertrude Barfield Kirby. He was self employed. He graduated from Chicora High School and attended the First Southern Methodist Church of North Charleston. He is survived by his mother, Gertrude Kirby; his daughter Wendy Marie Kirby Green of St. Stephens, SC; two sisters, Rosemary Kirby Kidd of Sweetwater, TN and Leila Annette Smits-Reeve of North Charleston, SC; and five grandchildren.
