Vivian Livernash Obituary

Vivian Sweat Livernash PINELLAS PARK, FL - Vivian Sweat Livernash, 76, wife of James (Jim) D. Livernash, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in Pinellas Park, FL. Born on July 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. Sweat and Wylma Sweat Clark. She attended Summerville High School and graduated from Palmer College, Charleston, SC. In her younger years, Vivian enjoyed living life in many different states in the US, as well as Naples, Italy. After retirement Jim and Vivian made their home in Pinellas Park, FL where she enjoyed many activities in their senior retirement community, and attended Clearview United Methodist Church with her friends. More than anything she loved coming home to Summerville to spend time with her loving family and attending the annual Cousins Trip every year. She will be forever missed, but not forgotten, by her extensive family and friends. Survivors, other than her husband, include two sons, Marshall "Mark" Mauldin (Teresa) of Otto, NC, and Robert K. Livernash (Linda) of Huntington Beach, CA. Four grandchildren, Amanda M. McCarthy (Jonathan) of Starkville, MS, Hillary Torres of Okatie, SC, Seth Livernash and Faith Livernash both of Huntington Beach, CA. Three great-grands, Owen McCarthy and Jacob (JJ) McCarthy both of Starkville, MS and Briana Torres of Okatie, SC. Two sisters, Susan S. Crosby, Thomas Jean S. Dangerfield (Billy) both of Summerville; four step-sisters, Betty Millwood, Martha Willis and Gayle Ard (Johnny) all of Summerville, and Mary Zayas (Manny) of North Charleston. Vivian was preceded in death by sister, Jennie S. Rooney; two brothers-in-law, Tom Rooney, Sr. and Robert Crosby; step-brother, Clarence A Clark, Jr.; and step-father, Clarence A Clark, Sr. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 15, 3:00 pm in Heritage Hall, Heritage Holiness Church, 3836 Ladson Road, Ladson, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Dementia Society of America at dementiasociety.org. Interment will be private.
