Vivian Bunch Obituary

Vivian M. Bunch, age 78, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is the wife of the late Albert Bunch. Born on May 21, 1947, to the late Ernest and Zida McLeod, in her beloved hometown of Summerville, Vivian was a proud graduate of Summerville High School. Her life was one marked by strength, faith, and a lifelong devotion to her family. Vivian's greatest joy and calling in life was caring for those she loved. She poured her heart into her home, finding happiness in the simple but meaningful acts of cooking warm meals, sewing with care and creativity, and ensuring that everyone around her felt nurtured and supported. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort and love, where family gathered and memories were made. A woman of deep faith, Vivian led by example; offering kindness, patience, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all those she touched with her gentle spirit and generous heart. She was especially proud to be a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren and never missing a chance to share her wisdom or a warm hug. She is survived by her loving daughter: Nancy Bunch Spriggs (Rodney) and Ellen Bunch Owans (Gene); her grandchildren: Natalie Spriggs, Ryan Spriggs, and Hank Owans; her sister in laws: Judy Veronee, Ivanell Montague, and Della Elmer (Tim). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Frank Bunch; as well as her brother in laws: Edward Bunch, Harry Veronee and Andy Montague. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1pm to 2pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. A graveside service will begin at 2:30pm at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
