Leslie, Ginny and Denny,
Just discovered that your beautiful mother died last year. I remember her well, in our old Chapman stomping grounds. My Mom passed away in 2007.
Our mothers were classy ladies. Oh how we miss them. Love, Beverly Braaten Kistner, Florence, OR

I knew her as 'Marmee' - my best friend's mom. Leslie and I did everything together, and when my mom wasn't around, Marmee was. Have been trying to locate for ages, and am so sorry to have stumbled upon the obit.
Lesle, you and everyone else have my deepest and most sincere love.

Love you!

Virginia was like a grandma to me. I was her caregiver (one of many) from 2007-2011 and loved her dearly. We would watch Jeopardy together while eating dinner and chatting about life. She helped me through many ups and downs and I will forever be blessed by her wisdom, guidance and warm spirit.

Virgina was a great lady and neighbor and a fantastic peron to talk to. She was smart and funny and well read. She will be missed. Mike and Karen Leroux, former accros the street neighbors

To the Family of Virginia Wood,
We first met Virginia (Mrs. Wood as the boys called her) and the "Girls" and Denny 46 years when we moved into the Fraser House next door to her. The boys were one, three and five; and they immediately fell in love with that wonderful lady on the other side of the fence! She always talked to them and made them laugh and gave them candy. Not only was she friendly, kind and giving, but she was also very intelligent and told them many interesting stories. We miss our talks with her. She loved her gardens and her dogs, but did not like black cats!
All of her neighbors kept an eye on her to be sure that she was ok. Now we all miss her, but know she is in a better place.

Hi Mary and Becky, Leslie, Ginny and Denny,
I was so sad to see that your mom had died. She had been on my mind alot this last month. She was a wonderful person and I owe much of the person I am to her. I have many wonderful memories of all the talks we had and how she just listened..never judging. Some of the traits I value in myself came from being with your Mom. I want you to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I also passed the information on to Mom. She was also sad to hear the news and also had wonderful memories of being in the Junior League with her. She said she was glad that your Mom had been her friend.

Dearest Mary, Becky and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Our heartfelt sympathy and support during this difficult time. Virginia has been one of my all-time favorite "mothers", and my life has been so much richer for having known her. I loved her sense of humor and the great memories of being in her home with your family. Please let our family know if we can be of any assistance. Love to you, Tory

Ginnie was a classmate of my mom, Jean Bullwinkle, at University of Oregon. I remember seeing her often when we shopped at Lynch's Market in Hillsdale. Much visiting around the shopping carts ! Mother and I send our condolences.
