Virginia Horne Walters St. George, SC - Virginia Horne Walters, 96, 598 Maple Branch Road, Reevesville, widow of St. Clair Vincent Walters entered into eternal rest on Saturday January 13, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday January 15, 2018 in the Old St. George Baptist Church with Reverends Dan Yagman and Steve Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Taylor, Michael Taylor, J.A. Pendarvis, Zonnie Horne, Jim Horne, Douglas Horne, and Tom Horne. The Family will receive friends one hour before service at Old St. George Baptist Church. Virginia was born December 3, 1921 in Byrd's Community near St. George a daughter of late Otey Mouzon and Fannie Valeria Moorer Horne. She is predeceased by all her siblings: James Samuel Horne, Sr., Peter Louis Horne, Leroy Fletcher Horne, O.M. Horne, Jr., Fairy Bell Thomas and Vera Louise Hedrick. She was a graduate of St. George High School and attended Draughon's Business College in Columbia, a Charter member of Dorchester Chapter of DAR and an active member of Old St. George Baptist Church. Surviving: Two sons; Steven Vincent (Candace) Walters, Reevesville and William Leroy "Bill" (Missy) Walters, Aiken; grandsons, Calvin St. Clair Walters, Charlotte, NC, Robert Reeves Walters and Samuel Thomas Walters, both of Aiken.
