Virginia Salina Obituary

Virginia Wright Salina N. CHARLESTON - Virginia Wright Salina, 85, widow of Thomas J. Salina, of Summerville, SC, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at Royal Oaks Senior Care. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, November 12, 2012 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road at 2:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Born December 6, 1926 in Chester, SC, she was one of three daughters of the late Benjamin Frank Wright and the late Zelma Gill Proctor Wright. Mrs. Salina was a retired computer technician with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Her passions included quilting, ceramics and painting. Throughout her life she enjoyed the companionship of her wire hair terriers. She is survived by her sister, Maitland Hobbs of Thompson, GA, and many nieces and nephews. Her husband of 65 years, Tommy and her sister, Maureen Anspaugh, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice, PO Box 161, Ridgeland, SC 29936.
