Virginia Spry Garner N. CHARLESTON - Deaconess Virginia Spry Garner, 95, of North Charleston, (formerly of Manning) SC; she is the daughter of the late Mr. John Spry, Sr. and the late Mrs. Emma Virginia Pearson. She is the loving mother of four sons, Chief Charlie (Phyllis) Garner, Jr., Peter Garner, Leroy (Thair) Garner, Sr., Elder Timothy (Martha) Garner, Sr., five daughters; Rev. Virginia (James) Platts, Sr., Ruth Lewis, Jeanette (Harold) Canty, Clara Bell (David) Aiken, Ethel (Gary) Hampton; daughter-in-law, Doris Garner, grandmother of 47, great-grandmother of 97, great-great-grandmother of 32, sister-in-law of Flander Garner, Evelina Walker, Rosa Epps and Ethel Garner. The relatives and friends of Deaconess Garner and those of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousin's other relatives and friends are all invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, July 2, 2017, 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 2416 Meeting Street Road, North Charleston, SC, Rev. Dr. Willis Glover, Sr., Pastor. Interment: Johnson Cemetery, North Charleston, SC. She will repose at the church on Sunday from 1:00PM until the hour of service. A Wake Service will be held this evening (Saturday) at Mt. Olive Baptist Church from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
