Virginia Darden Obituary

DARDEN, Virginia HARLEYVILLE - Virginia Knight Darden, 83, of 206 West Main Street, Harleyville died Friday, April 21, 2006 at Trident Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Harleyville First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Ed Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Harleyville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Artie Knight, Jr., Joe Knight, Kirby Knight, Merrill Ridgway, Dickie Ridgway, Colon Edwards and Robert Edwards. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM Saturday evening at BRYANT FUNERAL HOME. Mrs. Darden was born November 10, 1922 in Harleyville a daughter of the late Watson Daniel Knight and Mary Wimberly Knight. She was the widow of Arthur Cohen Darden and predeceased by a son William Lawrence Darden. She was a homemaker. Surviving are three sons; A.C. (Joan) Darden, Albany, GA, Carlysle (Connie) Darden, Harleyville and David (Sonia) Darden, Kingsland, GA; two daughters, Margaret Virginia Darden and Cheryl D. (Leonard) Infinger both of Harleyville; a sister, Estelle Stanford, Dearing, GA and nine grandchildren, seven great grandsons and two step-grandchildren.
