I just learned of Ginny's passing last week. I am so shocked and saddened as she was an amazing friend to me for almost 20 years.
The first time I saw her was when we pulled on to the Weapons Station looking for the Marrington Plantation Stables. She was pulled over on the side of the road, on her Harley, ready to show us the way. Little did I know how much that woman would impact my life for years to come.
My husband and I had just joined the Navy, and it was a struggle with three horses and a daughter. She hired me to ride her horse and rake her leaves. She had the largest heart of gold, and was always ready to help someone out. Even after moving away, she came to visit. Once in Connecticut and once in North Carolina. She said she would have loved to come to Washington State, but it was just to far.
We had years of wonderful phone conversations. Hours would pass talking of horses and life. In 2005 my husband somehow managed to convince her to sell her beautiful arabian saddle to give to me as a Christmas gift. It was such a surprise. And although it has always been cherished, it will mean even more to me everyday when I saddle up and remember my special friend.

We would have great conversations at the barn. She would clean Tango's stall. Then she'd get a bucket and tell Tango to Lee in the bucket. And that horse would. Then Jinny would ride her white motorcycle, with the saddle bags and fringe hanging from the handle bars, home She always had a smile. She will be missed.

I was very surprised and sad to hear of Ginny death. She was a fantastic and wonderful person to know I will truly miss her. She'd always hug me and told me she loved me. We could talk for a long time and yes she was always smiling. I will miss you my friend, but I know you are with our heavenly father and angels. My condolences to her family.

When we moved to Goose Creek in 2003 Ginny welcomed us to the neighborhood with opened arms. She was always happy and upbeat, a very kind person. Ginny was always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. My husband bent her ears for many hours but Ginny always smiled and listened patiently. She will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with the family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ginny through her daughter Kim and would run into her periodically at the Weapons Station while working there. Sad for the family but she is at peace! Praying for your comfort, peace and love at this difficult time.
