Dad, it truly has been a somewhat long and difficult road traveled for all of us in some way I´m sure. As far as Virgil jr and Sheila you would be so so proud of them for being in town to take care of mom. I know that , I truly am proud of them both. You raised all of us to expect the unexpected and rise to the occasion to get through in life´s journeys. I miss our talks every night, with you asking how we were getting along in Manning and how is the fishing? I would smile through the phone knowing you could not see it but hopefully you knew by my enthusiasm over the phone. I miss that!! Pops. Mom is good SHE HAS HER HAND IN GODS HAND..Dad, you did good with them both and being hard on us all to be focused, It shows through them. As for me I´m dealing with weight and faith issues with this immoral world but I know GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY. Love you Pops, PS how is the fishing?

I love you grandad! you know that. thank you for every thing. I'm actually in a place now where i feel comfortable calling home. what are the chances that the first foster home i find is actually a great one. i just in the last four days soooo much has happened qnd its really hard to deal with. i wanna be happy but i don't know how to deal with every thing. i just wish you were still here to talk to you in person. u were always there and i need u soo bad right now and your not here. i literally have no one to talk to or to go to that understands me and my problems like u do. i just don't know what to do. sometimes i swear out of the corner of my eye ill see u standing at the door and when i look there's nothing... i may be going crazy but i just don't know anymore...

Wish you were still here.... its still soo hard to believe that you're gone. Someone asked me today if I had 3 wishes what would they bee, I then replied to have some of my family back... meaning you.... I miss you and everything we've done and the memories we had... I appreciate everything you have done for me. it has molded me into the man I am becoming..... I will visit you in 8-12 months.... I will take care of grandma... and I know I have let you down plenty of times but you would be happy to know that I learned from those mistakes in which have made me stronger. love you and always miss you...

I love you grandad. I know you wanted to see me before you left but life works in mysterious ways. I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your funeral because of my mom but I know you would've understood and now you're in a better and much happier place. I'm tempted to let go but I know that that means that I won't see you in heaven. its funny cause I've planned to let go for a while now about two years and just the thought of seeing you again kept my head up and kept me from making the biggest mistake I can make. but now you are gone and the temptation is much stronger and I feel that I can't hold on anymore but somehow I feel that you are still here to make sure that I hold on and don't let go so that I can see you soon. its funny, cause the other day I went swimming and I thought soo much about just not surfacing but I know that I won't see you in heaven. its like you're still here but at the same time you're not. when grandma told me I felt emotionless and empty. I couldn't cry and I couldn't be angry which were the two emotions that I thought I would have. I was shocked I didn't wanna believe it but I had to, which was the hardest part. I really don't know what to say or do anymore. I can feel myself letting go but I don't know what to do or how to handle it. please help me. I love you. ~jocko

To Virgil & the Hobson Family

You may be going through a difficult time, but trust in God and know that he will bring you through it. Your love one may be gone, but won't be forgotten. Cherish the memories; the special little things and the memories of his laughter and this will help push away the pain.

God bless you.

Mr. Hobson was an inspiration to all the children in Maxey's Trailer Park on Midland Park. He was like another grandparent to me. I remember following him around the yard helping him in the garden. He even made a tree swing for us to play on. A true icon has left us.

A fathers' love is an unconditional, never tiring, giving of one-self to meet or exceed the needs of his children, as God sacrificed His only begotten Son for all of us. Thank you Dad, rest well with Jesus. We will take care of "Mom", we love you
