Virgil Martin Albers, Jr. HUGER, SC - Virgil Martin Albers, Jr., 64, husband of Michele McGraw Albers of Huger, SC passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012, having fought a courageous battle against cancer. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. Virgil was born on November 25, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Virgil Martin Albers, Sr. and the late Thelma L. Miller Albers. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an avid fisherman. He retired as an automotive salesman. He is survived by his wife, Michele Albers of Huger, SC; one son, Virgil M. Albers, III of Huger, SC; two grandchildren, Breanne Albers and Chance Albers both of Huger, SC; his father, Virgil Martin Albers, Sr. and his wife, Roberta, of Huger, SC; one brother, George Daniel Albers and his wife, Sandra, of James Island, SC; three sisters, Sharon Albers Cahill and her husband, Bill, of Huger, SC, Nelma Albers Taylor and her husband, Gene, of Huger, SC and Sheree Albers Woodberry and her husband, Allen, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and ten nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Amedisys Hospice, 1027 Physicians Drive, Suite 240, Charleston, SC 29414.
