Vickie Erskine Obituary

Ms. Riddle was such a inspiration to me, she taught Courtney and brandi, and we have never forgotten her, running into ms.riddle in walmart, we my girls were 14 and 15, years later since we had seen her, it was like she never forgot about us, knowing our names and hugging all of us like a wonderful person she was, god has truly received an angel, we love you ms riddle now and always, god bless your family.

Ms. Vickie was instrumental in the founding of Charles Ellis Montessori Academy in Savannah 27 years ago. Charles Ellis continues to offer Montessori education to children in Savannah. She also took a chance in hiring a young man with no background in education. She recognized his desire to take on the challenge of Montessori training. I am going into my 26th year at Charles Ellis and I have only Ms. Vickie to thank for getting me started. I think it was Ben Franklin who said that all we can do each day is add a little good to the world. Ms. Vickie certainly did that and more. Dale, please accept my deepest sympathies for your family.

I am so sorry to learn of Vickie's passing. She was a wonderful and passionate teacher. I will always think of Vickie's kindness and love for children. May God grant peace and comfort to all of the family.

Vickie taught my Grandson Trey Hagan in first grade. He was her math wizard. He needed help in reading and she she would help him after school, and even bring him home. She also helped Kelly his sister in reading also. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Our condolences to Vickie's family- Vickie will be remembered for her dedication and support - both personally and professionally. We will miss her very much!

I will always remember Mrs.riddle she was my first grade teacher, she taught me to read and write. We had some of the same problems, we both had some hard times, we shared laughs together. She helped me. I'll always remember her, if I wouldn't have ever had her, I would have never started to read and write.. I'll always remember her in my heart

This is sad news but I know Vickie is in a great place as she had the sweetest spirit. I will miss her as she was a mentor and dear friend. She was truly dedicated to her family and BBE family. Sending prayers to her precious family during this sad time.

Sorry for your families loss of such an amazing woman. She was an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. My boys are better students having had the pleasure of her company.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have worked very closely with Vickie at Boulder Bluff in her coaching role. She was always smiling and bringing out the best in everyone. She loved the students and faculty. I was shocked when I heard the news and feel terrible that I will miss her life celebration. I am in Virginia with my grandchildren until next week. Vickie was one of the first people who welcomed me to BBE. She always stopped by to check on me and to see if I needed anything. She will be greatly missed. She has touched many lives with her love for reading.
