Our prayers and thoughts are with the entire family. Our families have known each other for many years and we can hardly remember a time that we did not know the Ross family. It began when our Mothers had medical checkups for the oldest siblings of our famiies and continued through the years as our families grew. We have a history from Calvery Kindergarten to Rhett, to Simonton and to Burke. It is never easy but you will have the memories to sustain you.

It was truly a pleasure to know Vernon. His wonderful smile and strange sense of humor. I met Vernon years ago when he came into Knology to pay his bill. Always threatening to disconnect his service. I would always say to him "just say the word". May the family find comfort in knowing that God does not make any mistakes, he saw that Vernon was tired and decided to pluck his precious flower.
Vernon will be missed coming to pay his bill every month.

I'm here just remembering how Vernon would always bring his mother in for her appts. and how him and I would go down the memories lane of the 60's & 70's he just loved talking about "Back Then"with lots of laughter it brought joy and great smiles to his face he would remember so well each of his friends and how they played a part in his life he just like talking about Bobbie Glenn and Robert Moultrie with chuckles, I will miss him bringing in his mother and the talks about his family and friends with humors the talks about
the change in his life GOD>
I would incourage him of his walk with faith in Christ and he would say Jean you know something with all this I am going through there is know way I could be here on earth without putting all my faith and trust in God Girl I have learned to depend on Him.
He would say Look God have blessed me with lots of loving grands and Hey I am most truly a miracle.
