Sorry Uncle Vernon I wasn't there to say goodbye, although I grieved your loss I never question to God why; I know you are in a better place, somewhere we all must go, the memory of you smiling & talking is the last scene in my mind will show; The day you left I smiled up to God, thinking to myself you and my father must be huddling and talking really really hard; I'll miss you being here even though we didn't see each other much, but knowing you're with your brother, my father are close to one another will keep us in touch.
Love always, Sye Dean

To Dad,
We all truly miss you but we know that you are with us spiritually. We didnt get enough time with you but I personally didnt get time to thank you for all you've done for me. Even though you werent my biological father, I still treated you as one because you took me in as your child. You took care of us and we returned the favor, we just wish we had more time with you but God knows best. No more suffering and no more pain. I love you Daddy

To the Jenkins Family:
We were so saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Jenkins. He was the staunch supporter and friend to Mr. Nathaniel Bright for many years, including up to the day of his passing, to assist The Christopher Company in maintaining The Market and our property at 84 North Market. He will be missed more than words can say by The Christoper Company and especially his dear friend, Mr. Nathaniel Bright. His character, work ethic, and integrity were commendable. No one can ever take his place. May he rest in peace.
Our sincere sympathy,
The Christopher Company

There are certainly not enough words that I can write to express my feelings about the loss of "My Brother and Friend." Our hearts are aching but rest assured the "Comfort of Christ" is right by your side.
Wernon (some will understand)had an infectious laugh, a "Marine" mouth but a giant heart. He was just that Dude. Ms. Cherry, Torri, Vandrea, Vernon, Loretta and Family hold tight to your memories for comfort.
Vernon has taken his rest. We all must now "Rest in the Care" of Our Father.
Be Blessed

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To the mother and children you all have our deepest sympathy. Your father was a excellent friend to our mother (vivian). We are praying that you find strength in the arms of Jesus. He was like a father to us and we share in your sorrow. Truly this was a remarkable man always giving and encouraging. If he was here today i know he would tell us "everything will be alright"! So rejoice and celebrate his legacy. Remember as David said in Psalm 61:2 "when my heart is overwhelmed lord lead me to the rock that is higher than I". May God forever keep you and memories of your father bring us all comfort. His time and words of wisdom will greatly be missed. We love you all and cant say enough about him. However the work he has done speaks for him. Battle fought, victory won, body healed and he is at peace. A true soilder gone home.
