Dear Truesdale family,
Our community and Sullivan's Island Baptist Church has lost a great lady. I grew up in S.I.B.C. and what stands out most in my memory are the wonderful, Christian "older" ladies. Their devotion to the Lord and of course-GREAT COOKING are an inspiration to us all. Mrs. Truesdale will live in my memory as one of those truly beautiful ladies.
In deepest sympathy,
Linda Dayhoff Smith

I am so sorry for your loss. Vernie was always a very special person to me and my family. I lost contact with her in recent years but she was always in my thoughts and prayers. Know that your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother (Vernie Truesdale). I trust she is in a better place and will be waiting with open arms for you all when you get there.

Dear Family, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your mother. Seeing the photo of her beautiful face reminds me of her welcome to me in Sullivan's Island Baptist Church growing up in the 60's. My husband and I are in Virginia now but my heart goes back so deeply to the little church on the Island where I made new Christian friends. Blessings to the family. Carol R. Resch

To Mrs. Vernie's Family,
Your family has meant a lot to our family over the years. We remember happy times on Sullivan's Island. We're sorry that we had planned to be out of town and won't be able to be at the viewing or the funeral service. Our prayers are with you during this time. We're so thankful for the life of Mrs. Vernie and the times we were able to spend with her. God bless each of you! These thoughts and wishes also come from Helen (Googie) who is going to be out of town as well. Much love, Louise and Ed

Dear Truesdale Family:
We were saddened to hear of the passing of our "Aunt" Vernie. She was a tremendous lady, and we will never forget her. To this day, I don't know anyone who can fry a shrimp like she did. Her home was always open to us, and even in her 80's she was always willing to cook something up if you visited her. I'll never forget how excited she was to meet our first born - some 13 years ago now. She was an amazing lady, and she will be in our hearts forever.

Mrs.Truesdale was one of the finest people I've ever known. I had the pleasure of working with her at Philco-Ford in Mt.Pleasant. She wasn't there a long time but she made an impression on me. She will be missed, but her memory will live forever. My deepest sympathies.
