Vermelle Gunnels GOOSE CREEK - Vermelle Gunnels, 88, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Leroy Paul Gunnels died Tuesday, November 27, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Gunnels was born November 13, 1924 in Macedonia, SC, one of 13 children of Thomas and Leota Guerry. She was formerly employed by St. Francis Hospital as a nurse. She is survived by her son, Roderick Gunnels; daughter, Anne G. Dodson of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Ola Mae Morse; granddaughter, Renee Gunnels; grandsons: Christopher P. Dodson and his wife Lyne of Goose Creek, SC, Harry Dodson and his wife Samantha, Michael Dodson, Matthew Gunnels, Lee Gunnels and Jonathan Gunnels; she had many great-grandchildren.
