Vera Goetz Obituary

Burlene was a wonderful person. She touched so many lives, I can't begin to tell you of all the High School students Burlene was able to reach out and give a positive influence to and help with their troubles. When she saw a child in need Burlene was known for going out and buying shoes, or coats or clothes for the kids. I watched her shed many a tear over the heartache of different students and fellow staff member. The death of her mother was very hard for her she lost her best friend when her mom died. Burlene remained loving, caring and giving of herself despite her own personal Overwhelming Heartache and Grief. Burlene was a jewell to everyone who knew her . She is deeply missed.

I met Burlene when she was the secretary at Webster School. Then she came to the CHS where I saw her every day. My heart goes out to her girls and their families. The community has suffered a loss. I did not know Jerry but know that both will be missed. May God give the the peace that passes all understanding.

I am so very sorry for your loss. No words can take away the pain, but I hope the many happy memories will ease it over time. God bless you and your family at this time of sorrow.

I met Burlene at Webster School. When I came into the building to meet with students she was always so friendly and helpful. Later, when I would be at the high school she would go out of her way to seek me out and say hello when she saw me in the building. Her friendliness was always so genuine...as if we had known each other a very long time. She was one of those people who truly made this earth a better place.

I am so sorry. I remember Burlene as a student and she was always a pleasure to be around, helpful, and caring. I worked in the office with her and it was always fun talking with her and just nice to know that she genuinely cared for me as a student and a person. I know she will be missed. May Jesus bless you with His peace, grace, and love.

I had the pleasure of working with Burlene for several years on the PTA Academic Festival. She was always there to guide me through that event. I know God is guiding her now. The children of Unit 10 has a special guardian angel watching over them. Rest in peace my friend.

I was saddened to hear of the death of Burlene and Jerry Goetz. I worked with Burlene at Collinsville High School. She was a very sweet lady, always friendly, helpful, and caring. Deepest sympathy to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about Burlene and Jerry. Burlene was always there for me when I was at Webester. She even took care of my kids for a short while before she retired.

I was so sorry to hear about Burlene and Jerry. She was so helpful to me while I was a PTA officer at Webster School and while my son was a student at the school.

I met Burlene years ago when my children attended Webster School and I was involved with PTA. She was one tough cookie with a very kind heart. I was lucky enough to continue my friendship with her after she moved to the High School.
My children and I wish to extend our deepest condolences to Burlene and Jerry's children and family. Their loss is so terrible and we're thinking of them.

I am so sorry to hear about Burlene and Jerry's accident. Although I did not work in the same buildings as she did, Burlene was always very helpful to me when I called her concerning CEA related questions. You are in my prayers.

I have known Burlene and Jerry since I was a young girl growing up at Webster. Then, I had the pleasure of living across the street from them for many years. They were wonderful kind people and will be missed! I'm so sorry for your loss.

Burlene always watched over me at webster. She took great care of me wether i was hurt or in trouble. She was a great friend to our family and will be missed.

I am so saddened by the loss of Burlene and Jerry.I worked with her at Webster as PTA parent and an employee. We didn't always see eye to eye but were always able to remain friends.
Mostly I could never thank her enough for the love and caring she showed my children, especially Ryan. He referred to her as His Girl Burlene.
He loved her very much. When I told him of her death he was leaving on vacation and he just cried, he didn't want to go but I told him that she would of wanted him to go.
I loved when I gave her her lunch break and Jerry would call and we would just yak away.

I am so very sad to hear of the tragic accident involving Burlene and Jerry. I remember "Mrs. Goetz" from my childhood days at Webster School. She and I served on the Zoning Board of Appeals together for many years. Burlene was quite a lady. it was my pleasure to have known and worked with her. She will be greatly missed.

I am deeply sadden by the loss of such a wonderful person. Mrs. Goetz was a secretary for Webster School when I was a student there and she was always so kind and caring. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the great pleasure of working with Burlene for many years at Webster School. She was a very caring lady to the staff and especially the students. She always found the time to listen to people. I know by listening to her talk how much she loved her daughters! I was shocked to learn that Burlene and Jerry died in such a tragic accident. Burlene was far from elderly and had many years of living to enjoy. May God bless her family. She certainly will be missed.
