Veomie Jones Obituary

Veomie H. Jones GOOSE CREEK - Entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 14, 2010, M. Veomie H. Jones, 83, of Goose Creek, SC. The relatives and friends of Veomie are invited to attend her funeral service in Harbour Lake Baptist Church, 1056 Red Bank Road, Goose Creek, Thursday, March 18, 2010, at ten-thirty o'clock. Interment will follow at Beaufort National Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston, on Wednesday, evening between five and seven o'clock. Mrs. Jones was born on February 17, 1927, in Dudley, GA, she was one of 12 children of Thomas Henry and Fannie Maye Heath. She was a member of Harbour Lake Baptist Church, an excellent cook and was always a wonderful mom and homemaker. She is survived by daughter, Martha Faye Pyatt and her husband Charles of Goose Creek, SC, and son Jack W. Jones of Goose Creek, SC, sisters, Margaret O'Neal and her husband Bobby of Augusta, GA, Tommie Buck and her husband Raymond of Mary Esther, FL, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren. Veomie was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Robert C. Jones, her son Robert H. Jones and one great-grandchild. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Harbour Lake Baptist Church 1056 Red Bank Road Goose Creek, SC 29445.
