Mr. & Mrs. Gaddy, Cajun and Family:
I can still remember Valerie's beautiful smile the first day she walked into SFM and there was not a time after then that she did not have that same beautitful smile on her face. She was truely a wonderful teacher and role model to her students. As well as a great friend. I am very sadden and shocked by her untimely passing. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mark and to Mr. and Mrs. Gaddy,
My deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers are for you and your entire family during this tremendous loss in your lives. When Tiannia called me on Tuesday, I could hardly believe the news. They say that "laughter is good for the soul" and that means that Valerie lifted a lot of souls during her time on this Earth...me included! When I think of Valerie, it will always be with a gigantic smile on her face and that beautiful, warm southern drawl saying something funny and making me and anyone else within hearing distance laugh and enjoy being around her. The fondest Clemson memories surround me right now as I remember Valerie Gaddy and I know you are going to miss her more than words can say. My sister, Jane Nine Morgan, also sends her deepest sympathies to all of you...she loved Valerie!! God bless and keep you close these days. Lisa Nine Accordini

Ms. Gaddy was the best Algebra teacher ever. She made sure I understood and worked hard with all her students. She was fun and never cease to make me smile. Even though I only had her as a Freshmen. I'd still come along the Freshmen hall and to see her. She'd ask me why I'm "bothering" her and using the freshmen snack machine. And yet still asking to buy a pencil from her and compared Clemson and Carolina with her. She was very funny and will be missed very much.

Glenda, Johnny & Mark,
Words cannot express my heart felt sympathy for you. I have several good memories of Valerie. She would come visit me, and one time the two of you were out of town and she dislocated her shoulder at the pool. I took her to the ER in Dillon and the little buger "passed out" on me....scared the wits out of me. And of course, I'll never forget her trip to New York and riding in a cab and calling the handles in the roof of the car "oh >>>>handles. And most of all, those pretty big eyes and that contagious smile and laugh. I have always loved that precious "little girl".
May God give you peace and understanding.
Always, Connie

She was a beautiful little girl and I am sure to you that is what she still is, "your little girl". Children never get too old for us to think of them as our little girl or little boy. The days ahead are going to be very hard; however, try to think of the good times you had with her and take comfort in knowing that she was a wonderful person and a well loved teacher. Many are praying for you and God will provide the added strength you need to walk through this difficult time.

Wow. Still so shocked that you slipped away form us so soon. My heart was so heavy but now I am starting to understand. You are in a better place. U made an "ULTIMATE" difference in my life (especially when you took my brothers under your wing after I graduated). I did not like math in school, but you helped me out and continued to push me on a personal level even after I graduated in 2002. That is what being a great teacher is all about. I love you and you will always be in my heart!!!

I had the distinct honor of teaching with Valerie in the Academy for the last 5 years. She always had a ready smile and would help out anyone in need. I am blessed to be able to call her a friend and even more blessed that she also considered me a friend. I am going to miss parking beside her and being able to walk over to her room anytime I needed anything, if it was just a smile. Or her walking into my room and just shaking her head at my desk, seeing as it was never as organzied as hers. She was such an amazing person and I do not have the words to begin to say how sorry I am to you, her family and friends, for this horrible loss. I know that she will continue to look down on all of us from Heaven above. Love

To The Gaddy Family
Our HHS family Chain has been broken
Death is simply a shedding of the physical body, like the butterfly coming out of a cocoon. It is a transition into a higher state of consciousness, where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, to be able to grow, and the only thing you lose is something you don't need anymore . . . your physical body. It's like putting away your winter coat when spring comes.
We Loved Her But God Loved her best; She's soaring Like a Butterfly Now
Be Bless
