It was during Prayer Ministry that I got to know Truman and Mary Lois and I was really taken back by the power of prayer by both of them. When I worked with Truman individually, he would teach me what to say and i was humbled by his leading.

One of my fondest memories of Truman was on the first Mustard Seed ministry day when Antifa came down meeting Street. Truman when to the corner under St Michael´s portico and yell at them "This is God´s corner!" They didn´t bother us and we got to pray with one of them.

Hey Mary Lois. I´m so very sorry to hear about Truman. What a loss for our congregation. You and Truman were the first two St Michaelites which I met at church the very first time I went to St Michaels. He will be sorely missed.

Truman and Mary Lois led my first small group at St M´s and kept us together through so much due to their faithful reliance and focus on the Bible and prayer. I´ve no doubt Truman is rejoicing in Heaven. May the LORD bring great blessings and comfort to my beautiful friend Mary Lois.

I met Truman while working at Channel 2 then a few years later at church. He was a very kind and gracious man. I am sorry for your loss, but I celebrate his joy in the presence of God.

My prayers and condolences goes out to the family. I'll never forget his military service and dedication in caring about others while in the 31st Aeromedal flight unit at Charleston Air Force Bsse. Major Kemp was a leader and a friend to all.

I met Truman about 25 years ago in church. I was a young man and Truman became a mentor and example of living life for Christ. He has been a constant source of encouragement in my life and many people can say the same thing. Truman is a great man of God and he will be dearly missed until we can meet again.

Truman and I graduated in our small, close-knit school in 1959, which made all of our class closer friends than we might have been in a larger school. We were immensely proud of how well Truman did in his career, and how he lived his life. We recently have said goodbye to several of his closest school friends, all in a row. I hope they are having a pain-free blast now that they are together again.
From the MCHS Class of 1959, goodbye, Old Friend.
