Trudy Drennon Hanahan - Trudy Drennon, 80, of Hanahan, SC, a retired teacher and wife of the late Ronald Drennon, Sr., entered Heaven on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Trudy was born in Charleston, SC on April 11, 1940 to the late Barney McElveen and Juanita Oliver McElveen. An administrator and teacher, Trudy loved teaching the kids. She was the owner of Let Me Be Me Daycare. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are sons, Ronald Drennon and wife, Debbie and Steven Drennon and wife, Teri; daughter, Deidra Criddle; grandchildren, Daniel, Caroline, Andrew, Jason, Chris, Stephanie, Stevie, Abbigaylle, Hampton, Tracy, Caleb, Brooke, Nikki and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Wyatt, Raelynn, Samantha, Caleb, Colton, Connor, Braylynn, Payton, Cyrus and Addison. Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222. Trudy's funeral service will be at 11:00am on Monday, January 11, 2021 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park. I am so sorry for this great loss. Ms. Drennon was a special person to my entire family and made our children's childhood so very special with their memories of "Let Me Be Me". They still sing the songs she taught till this very day.
