Our love and aloha goes out to the Heywood Family. It was truly a blessing to have known Elder Heywood while our Heavenly Father's servant in the Honolulu Hawaii Mission. I remember going on team-ups with him in the Kapolei Ward as he shared a loving testimony with Bro. Akana who was later baptized. We loved having him in our home, what a great example he was to our son. We also remember our neice's Summer Mau's Baptism in Laie as he served there as well. We loved him and appreciated him for his love and testimony of the gospel. What comfort it gives us the Plan of Salvation to know that we will see Bro. Trent again. May the Lord bless and strengthen you at this time and our heartfelt prayers to all of you. MUCH LOVE AND ALOHA!!

Elder Heywood was one of my zone leaders in Hawaii. He was an amazing missionary. He inspired and motivated me on my mission. My heart and prayers are with his family. IF you have any programs left from the service I would love one.

Dear Heywood's,
I am so sorry to read about your son in the tribune. I can't help but wonder if he and my son are mission buddies up in heaven. If you check on the 12th you will see my son's obituary. He served in the Brazil, Forteleza mission and had been home for only 5 months. I know what pain you are going through, but I also know the love and support that Heavenly Father is sending to you. It is so hard to explain. I would like to talk to you if you feel up to it. My phone number is 480-497-6525. Again my sympathies.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Van De Graaff

Brother and Sister Heywood, Melissa, Jeff, Emily, & Scott,
I want you all to know how blessed I feel to have known your son and your brother. Trent was such an inspiring young man, and it was very easy to love him, as well as your family.
One of the things that really impressed me about Trent, was his increadibly strong testimony of the gospel. I remember the look he had on his face when I visited his ward one Sunday, and watched him teach his Sunday School class. It was obvious that Trent loved to share the message of Christ, and his testimony was a great strenth to me in my life.
I feel that I am a better person because of knowing Trent. I am thankful for the things that he taught me. I am so glad to have been able to know him, and to grow to love him, and your family.
My prayers go out to you as you go through these difficult times. I know that God is real, and he is personally watching over Trent at this time. May God bless you all.

I'm deeply saddened by your family's loss. It seems like only yesterday that Trent was one of the sixth graders with me at Kerr. Emily, Jeff, & Scott are all remembered fondly; even the great times we all had going to science camp. Trent was a great young man whose time came much too soon. I grieve in your loss. Sincerely, Steve Cordes

I'm so sorry to see the loss of your son. We lost our daughter 5 years ago and although it was painful, it certainly increased my love and appreciation of our Savior, and the comforting power of the Holy Ghost. I know it was by the prayers of so many others that helped us get through, so we will be praying for you also.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Heywood family. I had the privilege of serving with Trent for almost five months in Hawaii, my longest compannion. We were great friends and I know he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I pray that the sorrow of his passing, in time, may be overshadowed by joyful memories of his life. My prayers go out to you all.

I knew Trent Heywood on his mission, and what a fine missionary he was. Regardless of the situation he was cheerfull and fun to be around. He had a disposition of hard work and ardently tried to be the best missionary. Though I did not know him prior to his mission or before, I thought I must attest to his influence in my life.

I am so saddened to hear about Trent. This came as an incredible shock to me. He was one of my best buddies growing up. We worked out together, went to Scout camp together, went to the same elementary school, same ward, same preschool, etc... He even caught the garter belt at my wedding! He is a great guy and I am sure he's doing well. We miss ya bud.

Trent was and will always be a dear friend of the Bergeson family. It was always fun to see him and his family members at church and at the gym. Trent was huge - built like a tank. I will remember him for his dedication to working out and for always having a smile on his face. What a great guy... he will be deeply missed.

Dearest Heywood family,
I had the opportunity to serve with your son in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission, in the Kane'ohe Zone. He was one of the most outstanding missionaries that I ever have known. He was such an example to me. I send my condolences with my deepest and greatest love. You are all in my prayers. With all of my Aloha.

Trent was a great friend of mine and I deeply regret to hear of his passing. From snowboarding together, sleeping in Walmart, having eating contests, and arm wrestling, Trent had the type of personality that made everything fun. He will be deeply missed by us all.

I was honored to know Elder Heywood in the Honolulu West Zone. I find it hard to express Trent's positive and fun sportsmanship. It is comforting to know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ Elder Heywood will see and be with his family and friends again. I pray all will take comfort in the message Trent shared as a servant of the Lord.

I met Elder Trent Heywood while he served his mission in Hawaii. He was a wonderful missionary. I had the privelage of having him in my home. I often played basketball with the missionaries and I remember Elder Heywood charging down the court full speed, no one stood in the way. The kids at church were drawn towards him. He was a human jungle gym. I will never forget his testimony. One evening I went with Elder Heywood and his companion to teach a gospel lesson. He shared the most heartfelt testimony of the Savior that I had ever heard. I was a better man because of Elder Heywood. Thankyou for raising a fine young man.

I offer my condolences and prayers to the Heywood family. I am very shocked to hear the news. I served my mission with Elder Heywood, we had the same trainer and were in the same zone several times. He worked hard and was always very dedicated to the Lord and his work. May God bless him and his family.
