Travis Koon Obituary

Travis Tritt Koon HAMPTON, SC - Mr. Travis Tritt Koon, 21 of Poplar Street West in Hampton, passed away Saturday morning at the Hampton Regional Medical Center. Born June 2, 1993 in Walterboro he was the son of Wanda P. and Harold Hargrove of Ruffin and the late Frankie Samuel Koon. Travis was a 2012 graduate of Wade Hampton High School and had also attended Diesel Mechanic School in Nashville, TN. He was a former landscape employee of the Greenery and was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church where he played softball. He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing, enjoyed playing pool and being around people, but his greatest love was for his children. Surviving besides his mother and step-father are three children: Chad Michael Koon, Chelsea Michelle Koon and Brantley Levi Koon, all of Hampton; his companion: Alisha Fawn Wagenseller of Hampton; sister: Franka Koon Ulmer of Hampton, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins that loved him dearly. Travis was predeceased by his brother, Jim Chadwick "Chad" Jarrell; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Marilyn Koon and maternal grandparents, Henry and Allene Peeples. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11 AM in the Pine Level Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Don Drawdy, with burial following in the Live Oak Cemetery near Varnville. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 5 until 8 PM at Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, located at 300 Mulberry Street, West, Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) and until 10 AM Wednesday when the casket will be placed in the church prior to services.
