Tony VanHook Obituary

VANHOOK, Tony EUTAWVILLE Anthony Michael Tony VanHook, 11, died on Thursday, January 26, 2006 from injuries sustained in a four-wheeler accident. The Chatham County Georgia native was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Port Wentworth, Ga., and was a sixth grader at Holly Hill Academy. Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing football, swimming, and four-wheeling. Survivors include his mother, Darlene J. VanHook of Eutawville; father, Michael Anthony Tony Van Hook of Pooler; sisters, and a brother-in-law, Heather A. VanHook Fralick and Joshua Chance Fralick of Bloomingdale, Ga., and Tiffany Nicole VanHook of Eutawville; maternal grandmother, Mary Brown of Savannah; and paternal grandparents, Jimmy L. and Joann VanHook of Pooler, Ga. The Rosary service for Tony will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday with visitation to follow at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 W. Hwy. 80, Pooler, Ga. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Strickland & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery in Savannah.
