Katie Person and the Person Family
December 18, 2013
All,
It seems that we keep going down this road of family members leaving too soon. But I am reminded that the Bible say "his thoughts are not our thoughts, his ways are not our ways" so what we think may be too soon is possibly just right for God. I pray Tony, Jr. is resting in the "arms of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ" with the rest of the Person Family. Keep the faith and remember the good times to help you get through day because we all must leave our earthly home.
Love you and will continue to pray for you.
Katie Person the wife of the Late Samuel T. Person and the Person Family.

To my family, Aunt Rosie, Tony, and all of cousins: Please know that I love you, but more importantly, remember that God love you unconditionally! It is my prayer that God comforts you and hold you as only He can. As I read the entries in this guestbook, it was evident that Tony lived a life of humility and compassion, and for that I say thank You, Father. Though I can't be there physically, I am truly with you in spirit and in prayer today and in the days to come. May God grant His peace, which surpasses all understanding.

Dear Mr. Person Sr., I only met you once and only knew Tony for a short period of time, but he and Maddie quickly became a part of my family and were like one of my children and grandchildren. He was a great help to my daughter when she was going through a very tough time in her life and for that I'll always be grateful. He was such a larger than life person and quite a phenomenal father. My daughter, grandchildren and I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family./Adrienne's mom

It is with deep regret that I must offer my sincere condolences to the Family, Extended Family and Friends of Sergeant Tony Person. It is my pray that God will comfort and guide you through these times of immeasurable sorrow in a way that only he can.
I bare witness to Tony's servitude to the will of God. His immense capacity and willingness to care for, and serve “the least of thy” was his calling. As I reflect on our relationship and conversations at the Charleston Police Department, it seems I hear God speaking to him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord” (Mat 25:21).
I feel blessed that God has allowed me to have known Tony Person Jr., for a time.
