Tommie Price Obituary

I was so shocked and hurt to learn of Tommie Jane's death. She was a near and dear friend to me and my family. I have known her all of my life. She was my mother's(Theresa Jones) very best friend. In fact, they were like sisters. I miss you very much! I will never forget you. Rest in peace my very dear friend. I will always Love You!

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To My Aunt Ruth & My Cousins:

I was so saddened to hear about the lost of Tommie. I was disappointed with myself that I didn't go to see her on Christmas. That was my lost but I will always remember her especially on our birth date. Tommie was a sweet and beautiful woman inside and out. She always made me feel welcomed and loved. I pray that you all will remain close and help each other through this difficult time. You are a strong family and God will see you through this too.

Our hearts ached and we were saddened to hear of the passing of your mother. Tommie was a vibrant, beautiful and loving person. I am sure Taylor is the young lady she is today because of the time she spent with Tommie during her time in Maryland. Tommie ("Ti" as Taylor called her) was and always will be like family to us. We pray that the memories of your mother comfort you and your family during this time. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are extended to you and your family.

Tommie J. was a remarkable person who befriended everyone she met. There was never a dull moment at the Bell home and Tommie and the family always made you feel welcome. Thank you Lord for allowing me to share some time with Tommie and the Bell Family. I will never forget Tommie. Love you guys (The Bell Family).

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My love and prayers are with you. I understand the pain of the separation. Rest assured, it will get better.

We are all thinking about everyone. She was funny, great and did not hold back! We enjoyed being around her and will miss her dearly. I will miss those stories and everything about her. If there is anything I can do please do not hesitate to call.

I am very sorry to hear Of the passing of Mrs. Bell She was a true Leader and a strong pillar I remember Mrs. Bell Back in the days Growing up in the hood.(ten-mile) she would always try to lead all of the neighborhood children in the right direction. her home was your home. Glenda, tylena, koo-koo and the rest of the family your mom did a wonderful job. God wants her now her work on earth is now finish. May God strenghten you and comforted you in the days ahead. I only had the priviledge of meeting Mrs. Tommie once. I enjoyed speaking with her about her many trips back and forth to the VA, bringing family members. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of berevement. Just remember she's gone home, no more pain or suffering.

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

I met miss price twice. She is the mother of the wonderful Linda Bell (Anavitate). I am terribly saddened by this loss. This family has been through so much but still strong..I give my love and prayers..I am so sorry. To the family: I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mother too. She was like a second mother to me. She loved me and my son, Joey and we loved her too so very much. Since she has passed, I am reflecting on all the motherly advise she gave me, all the laughs we shared. I remember the trip we took together on Thanksgiving 2000 where I met you guys. There was so much love and fun in that house. I told her I don't even know why you are in Cleveland with so much family,fun and love down there. She missed you children too and that's why she moved back. I don't know what more to say...I just miss her. You are all in my prayers. She was such a fighter, I thought maybe I would see her one last time but, God has His on schedule. I am just so hurt... What a wonderful,vigorous and energetic person. It's our loss but Heaven's gain...

Linda,family and friends I am so sorry for your loss but remember she is in a better place now with out the pain. And she is still watching over all of her loved ones that are still here on earth. I know it is hard to believe but it is true. So to all the family and friends keep your spirits up and know that her spirit is already up in heaven and watching over all of you.
