Tim Smith Obituary

SMITH, Tim Tim D. Smith, 50, of Mount Pleasant, loving husband of Karen L. Smith died Thursday, January 8, at home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, at 6:00 p.m. at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. The family will receive friends at the residence following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society. Tim was born January 2, 1959, in Gastonia, NC, a son of John and Sue Smith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three step-children, Jennifer Harris, Megan harris and Eric Harris of Charleston, one sister, Susie Stubbs and her husband, ray of Fayetteville, NC, one brother, Steve Smith and his wife Lisa of Apex, NC, nieces Ashton Stubbs Whitney Harrington; nephews, Stryker Stubbs and Jonathan Smith. Tim worked for Interstate Batterise for 20 years. He was a devoted husband and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed sharing his knowlege of fishing, hunting and grilling. My heart goes out to you and your children . Just know that God makes no mistakes and he is surely in control . Tim made me feel very welcome into your home when I met him . I missed the fishing trip with him maybe we ( and Amanda ) can go out of town soon .Love to you all.

I am very sorry to hear about Tim and my thoughts go out to his friends and family. As kids, he and I had many fierce tetherball battles on Ashe Ave. and we shared a Little League championship playing together on the Cary Oil team. It seems like it was yesterday. My condolences.

Tim was one of my best friends in High School. When we had class reunions, we both ALWAYS made sure to find one another to get caught up on what was going on in our lives. I will greatly miss Tim and will keep the family in my prayers. With deepest condolences.
