Thora Davis Obituary
Thora Dorathy Davis, beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on May 2, 2012, at age 75.
Dorathy was born January 12, 1937 in Price, Carbon County, Utah, the fourth child of John Wells and Elise Elizabeth Wiscomb Hussey. She graduated from Carbon High School and attended LDS Business College. She married Stuart R. Davis on August 6, 1958. The couple had five children and later divorced. She lived in San Diego California, Wichita Kansas, New Braunfels Texas, Price, and Riverton Utah. She was interested in others' life stories and most people felt they knew Dorathy their entire life after just a five minute conversation. Kindness and humility were her hallmark. Her life was one of devotion and dedication to her children, grandchildren and service in the LDS church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Vivian Eden and her grandson Hyrum G. Alexander. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey S. (Jacki); Gregory R. (Terry); Bradley S. (Jennifer); and daughters Desiree (Dan) Binford; and Sydney (Wade) Alexander; her brother John LaMar (Francis) Hussey; her sister Mary Halbostad; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank South Valley Dialysis for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Copperview 2nd Ward at 12242 S 2700 W, Riverton, UT at 11 am. Viewing from 10 - 11 am prior to the service. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com.

I worked with Dorathy at Love Floral for several years. I loved seeing her every day and she was so much fun to work with. She had an enthusiasm for life that was contagious. My favorite memories of her will always be the stories of her as our delivery driver. It brings a smile to think of her back in that big white van. She was a wonderful lady that will be missed. I feel blessed to have known her for the few short years that I did. My sympathy goes out to family and friends at this time. May you remember her as fondly as I do.

I still remember Dorathy's smile and her care and concern about everyone she knew. Her family was so special:) She was so missed in the ward when she moved. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family!

Our condolences and prayer go out to Dorathy's family. I have many great memories from out trips to CA,KN and TX. It was the only times we left the state. She was a great aunt and she will be missed.

I remember Dorothy's smile and how easy it was to talk with her, and all the times she hauled us kids around to various activities. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed. My thought are with you Sydney, Jeff, Greg, Desiree and Brad.
