Dear Ivy,
I am so sadden to hear of your mothers death. She was such a loving, caring Christian woman whose light shined to all who met and knew her. She was always kind to my mother, Esther Johnson when we visited St Philips. I can only image how difficult this is for you but know that others share in your loss. May God bless you and your family, you are in our prayers.

Ivy,
Although we cannot be with you today of all days, our hearts and minds are filled with love for Mrs. Washington and you. What a role model and friend your mom was. No one was ever more important than the person with whom she was speaking. We are sure she is at the 19th cheering us all on. We are all the better for having had her grace our lives. May you find peace and joy in the morning.

We will forever cherish Ms. Washington's decades long friendship with Wilhelmina, Corky's mother, including her accompanying his mother to Arizona for his retirement from military service. Ms. Washington always embraced and inspired us with her love and caring, especially during our visits to DC, including one visit when Corky was able to enjoy a scrumptious meal with her and Ivy at her home. We pray Ms. Washington's grace, beauty, love, and God filled memories will sustain all whose lives she touched and give Ivy the strength needed to endure the loss we all feel. Rest in peace in God's arms as one of His great and faithful servants, Ms. Washington.

Ms. Thommie - was a beautiful woman and greatly appreciated. I planned her retirement party (CBP) and the gratitude she expressed to me, spoke volumes. She remembered that day so well, that over a year ago I ran into Ms. Thommie and she announced to a friend of hers that I was the lady that put together such a beautiful retirement party for her. I will forever remember her and her kindness and laughter.
