Tom, the world is a darker place without your light. You truly were one of a kind, and I miss you, brother. Rest in peace, my friend.

Tom, but he was my second cousin (my father Tom and Mick are first cousins), and I am very sorry to say that I did not know him. We are the same age and even shared time at U.D. I wish I had known him, and I am so saddened to hear of this tragic loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends. It sounds like he was full of life and love, and the world is better for him having been in it.

My heart is broken, I cannot accept this. Tom never met a stranger and I know this because they stop and ask me about him. After the dreaded phone calls I had to make; friends from coast to coast are praying for him and his loving family. He meant more to so many that I hope he realizes how much his life, his actions and his words meant to others. Every time I hear a Pearl Jam song I hear his excitement, knowledge and experiences of sharing times with his favorite people. He could bring life and fun to any room, that's just what he represented. You would have thought he was Santa, the way kids were so drawn to him. He taught me a lot and we shared a great love in his short life. I see him now walking the beach to see the light house on his beloved Folly Beach, catching fish, or opening the door for a stranger greeting them with love that only Tom had to give. My only condolence is knowing Heaven's Gates opened wide for him and he could hear PJ's "Alive" like he has never heard it before, something he would just love!!! His mom, God love her, gave him the book, "The Shack" that I read...so I picture him happier than ever, by Jesus and God happy to have him. His Spirit is much too big to ever not carry on, he will carry on within us here through his joy of life. This world will miss him but we will see him soon enough and we know he will be there with his huge smile and open arms. Yet, this is something I still cannot comprehend, His big heart must be too great and God called him. His goodness will be treasured and his energy is always around! I will always treasure our great moments and pray his soul is where he wants it to be. God bless him. God bless his brothers/wives and neices & nephews, he would give his life for and his parents that loved him unconditionally as he did. "Go bengals!" Will never be the same... Only David and Arnold know this! My heart will always hold a place for you, Tommy T, your greatness over rides it all and I continue to pray that you are at peace and some sort of peace may your family feel. Tommy made a huge imprint on my life, all my friends he has met and I am sure of you too! I love you Tom, I hope you take that to heaven with you!
