Thomas W. Spade PAWLEYS ISLAND - Thomas W. Spade, 71, of Pawleys Island, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 at Waccamaw Community Hospital. Born in Malden, Massachusetts, he was the son to Clayton J. and the late Rita Spade. Mr. Spade was an Air Force veteran and had retired from the Pentagon. He was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen George Spade. Survivors include his wife Celeste DeRain Spade, a native of Charleston, SC; son Thomas M. Spade of Charleston; daughters Samantha Renee Jenkins of San Pedro, CA, Serena Spade Churchill (Thomas III) of Hanahan, SC, Celeste Tomlyn Spade of Springfield, VA; grandchildren Thomas Henderson Churchill IV, Stephen Joseph Churchill and Theresa Adele Churchill; sisters Katherine (John) Niziolek of Lenoir, NC, Evelyn (Thomas) Randolph of Baton Rouge, LA; brother John David (Sallie Jane) Spade of Columbia, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 12:30 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, SC with a burial following at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
